Marc Able

 

 

Marc was the founding partner at ABS Consultants and Able Consulting Group as a mechanical design consultant for 42 years in Denver. He has been associated with the Déjà vu Rendezvous committee from its beginning back in 2006 and served as its Chairman for the last 7 years.

Polly Ayres

Polly's diverse background spans 25 years in marketing and business consulting, publishing, graphic design, and web development. For just under 12 years, she also served dual roles within certain corporations as an Automation Control Systems Engineer developing Human Machine Interface (HMI) systems used in municipal water treatment facilities, oil and gas production, grain distribution/handling, aviation, consumer packaging, and web-based HVAC/R climate control. She successfully completed projects in her area of expertise for Pepsi, Coca-Cola, Coors Brewing Company, Denver International Airport, Honeywell Xceed, National Jewish Health, Samuel Engineering, Buhler, Car-Gill, General Electric (GE), and Palmolive.

Scott bailey

Scott Bailey is Founder and President of MG AEC Technology Partners, Colorado’s principal provider for AEC focused design technology and information systems. Having a daughter with special needs gave Scott a heart for those challenged with disabilities. By serving on Déjà Vu’s Steering Committee for two years, Scott can contribute to a great cause and participate in one of the AEC industry’s best networking events of the year.

Brian Baldwin

Brian Baldwin is a Design Phase Executive at Mortenson. After starting his career in project operations, Brian transitioned to focus on the preconstruction phase of projects in 2012. After joining Mortenson’s Sports and Entertainment Group in 2014, Brian had the opportunity to work on some of the company’s most iconic projects before permanently relocating to support the Denver business in 2017. In Brian’s current capacity, he supports a variety of different project types starting in the pre-development phase and specializes in the delivery of Design-Build projects. In his free time, you can find Brian riding bikes, climbing rocks, or playing video games with his two kids.

Cathy Bodine

Dr. Cathy Bodine is CIDE’s Executive Director, Professor of Bioengineering - University of Colorado Anschutz Medical Campus, CCI Endowed Professorship, and Director of Innovation Ecosystems at the Colorado Clinical and Translational Science Institute. Dr. Bodine began her career in Assistive Technology in 1985.  She joined the faculty of the University of Colorado Health Sciences Center in 1996. Today, Dr. Bodine is internationally recognized for her leadership in the field of assistive technology and vigorously pursues her passions for new product design, research, service to families and persons with disabilities, and the professional assistive technology community at large through her leadership of the Center for Inclusive Design and Engineering.

Bill and Sara Caile

Bill is a CU alumnus and the Former CEO and President of Trautman & Shreve. Bill and his wife, Sara, have generously supported the mission of the Center for Inclusive Design and Engineering since Deja Vu’s inception in 2007.

Rob Cheney

Rob Cheney

Rob Cheney is currently the Director of Electrical Construction for Facility Solutions Group (fsg.com) in the Colorado market. He has held leadership positions in the construction sector for the majority of his 35-year career and has been in the Colorado market specifically since 2000. He has enjoyed serving on the Déjà vu Rendezvous steering committee since 2016 while working for different electrical contractors, and personally believes this event is the best annual industry event in the state. Rob has a deep appreciation for the work of the Center for Inclusive Design and Engineering and intends to support fundraising efforts for many years to come.

Ryan Dorsey

Ryan Dorsey is a Senior Project Manager for JE Dunn Construction Company where he has worked since entering the construction industry in 2008. Ryan has been involved in several high-profile projects that positively impact the local community, including the recently completed Anschutz Health Sciences Building in Aurora, CO. Ryan’s initial introduction to the Déjà vu event was in 2018 as a Young Leader attendee. Ryan has a passion for helping people in need and is a volunteer and supporter of the Boys and Girls Club of Denver and Junior Achievement. Ryan is thrilled to be joining the Déjà vu steering committee this year!

John Falzone

John Falzone is currently the Chief Operating Officer of MTech Mechanical, where he has fulfilled numerous roles since 2002. His attendance at early Déjà vu events led him to joining the steering committee in 2013. John has focused on fundraising efforts to help assure the construction industry’s premier event continues benefiting the Center of Inclusive Design and Engineering.

Mike Harms

Mike Harms is the Managing Principal of The Wells Partnership, having acquired the business in 2019. TWP is in its 27th year of providing Owner Representation and Real Estate Advisory Services within the Colorado design, construction, and development sectors.

After receiving a B.S. in Construction Management from the University of Nebraska, Mike joined the Denver office of Mortenson Construction spending a total of 17 years with the firm. Mike spent 8 years at GE Johnson before moving to the Owner side of the table overseeing sports facilities for ICON Venue Group.

Mike was one of the original founding members of the Déjà vu Rendezvous committee.

Rachel Harms

Rachel Harms is a Senior Project Manager at The Wells Partnership (TWP). During her career in commercial real estate and construction, she has worked in many public and private market sectors including, ground up developments, multifamily, office, life science, hospitality, infrastructure, and more. Rachel has been with TWP for 4 years and was previously with PCL Construction. A Denver native, Rachel studied for her Bachelor of Arts in Interior Architecture at Rocky Mountain College of Art and Design.

Rachel has been attending Déjà vu Rendezvous events for many years and is looking forward to being on the Steering Committee with continued support of CIDE.

Rick Kinning

Rick Kinning, CEO and Chairman of RK Industries, LLC, has been in Colorado’s construction community for 36 years. RK Industries is the holding company for seven industry leading businesses in the construction, industrial fabrication, advanced manufacturing and building services industries. These businesses include RK – Mechanical, Steel, Electrical, Mission Critical, Energy, Service and Water. RK’s businesses employ approximately 1,800 team members in CO, WY, UT, NM and AZ. Rick is also the founder and past president of RK Foundation, an accredited 501c3 charitable giving organization. All RK’s charitable giving is executed through RK Foundation. Rick was an attendee of the very first Deja vu Rendezvous, and continues to eagerly attends all the yearly events!

Tyler lobb

Tyler Lobb is a Senior Pre-construction Manager at MTech Mechanical. Since his start at MTech in 2010 he has worn multiple hats in engineering, operations, and ultimately now pre-construction. Tyler is a graduate of the Pennsylvania State University with a Bachelor and Master of Architectural Engineering. Tyler has been attending the annual Déjà Vu event since 2012 and is now excited to becoming more involved with the steering committee and helping support the efforts for the benefit of CIDE.

Ruthanne Lundquist-Zueger

Ruthanne is the President/CEO of Heggem-Lundquist a third generation, family-owned Colorado construction company. She’s a committed and passionate advocate for the growth and sustainability of the construction industry and small business in the Denver area as evidenced by her service to organizations such as, AGC Board of Directors, Denver Sector Partnership, AWCI, Tiny Homes, and the Déjà vu Steering Committee.

Jim MacKinnon

Jim grew up outside of Boston, MA and attended Colorado State University. Upon receiving his Bachelor of Science degree in Construction Management in 1991, Jim went to work for a national construction firm as an estimator focused on federal projects. In 1996 Jim started his career at Saunders Construction and as their Chief Estimator he provides executive leadership, oversight, and administration on all preconstruction efforts. He brings over 31 years of construction industry experience to Saunders, holding numerous positions throughout his career ranging from lead estimator, preconstruction manager and senior preconstruction manager. Jim is a past board member and past President of the Tilt-Up Concrete Association (TCA), has sat on numerous Associated General Contractors of Colorado committees and is a former Board Trustee for the National Sports Center for the Disabled. Jim and his wife Kathleen have two older children and live in Highlands Ranch. When not working, he enjoys mountain biking, cycling, fishing, hiking, skiing, cooking, and hunting.

Tracy Mason

Tracy has been with RK Industries, LLC (RK) for over twenty years, starting in 2001. She has been an Executive Assistant working for Rick Kinning, CEO and Chairman, since 2002.

Tracy has been working with the Déjà vu committee since 2011. She has also served on the Board of Arvada Festival Committee and has donated her time to the Amp the Cause Community Day, Food for Thought Denver, and Food Bank of the Rockies organizations. Tracy regularly participates in RK’s philanthropic activities, donating her time and lending her event planning expertise.

Ron McDaniel

Ron is the Sr. V.P. for Shea Properties Colorado, now for more than 25 years, while working locally in the industry for almost 40.  Involved with Déjà vu since inception, Ron has been a committee member for the past 7 years. He enjoys being involved with Déjà vu to keep in touch with old friends while helping support a very worthy cause.

George Moore

George Moore is a Preconstruction Manager for Encore Electric where he started his career in the electrical industry nearly 15 years ago as a first year apprentice. In his current role, George works with some of Encore’s most important clients on complex, fast-moving projects. Previous to Encore, he served as a Product Manager for Sierra Precision in Rancho Cucamonga, CA and a District Sales Manager for The Gates Rubber Company in Denver, CO and in San Diego, CA.  

George holds an undergraduate degree in Applied Mathematics from The University of Connecticut, a Master’s in Business Administration Degree from The University of Phoenix in San Diego and an Associate’s in Applied Science Degree in Electricity Construction from Red Rocks Community College. He was an adjunct electrical instructor at Red Rocks Community College for more than 10 years and is the current President of the Industry Advisory Council to the Electrical Department at Red Rocks Community College. George has served on the Déjà vu Rendezvous Steering Committee since 2019.

Scott Moore

Scott Moore is a Senior Project Manager for GE Johnson A DPR Construction Company. Scott is involved GE Johnsons pursuits and execution of complex construction projects in the Advance Technology and Life Science core markets along the Colorado Front Range. Scott’s initial introduction to the Déjà vu event was in 2018 as a Young Leader attendee. Scott is excited to support CIDE by continuing his efforts on the Déjà vu steering committee.

Dean NelsEn

Nelsen attended the university of Minnesota and spent the last 30 years of his career working for Mortenson Construction serving in my capacities from project management to opening and running offices in Denver, Honolulu, and Tokyo. He has been involved in Deja vu since its inception.

Ron Norby

Ron is a graduate in Construction Engineering at Iowa State University and started and completed his career with Hensel Phelps Construction Co. where he worked for 38 years and retired in 2008. He began his career as an engineer in the field and completed it as an officer of the company working throughout the United States and in many foreign locations.

Robert Sobel

A 25-year transplant from New York City, our non-profit, Ascanio’s Purse, based in Denver, CO is dedicated to providing funding for select concerts and recordings of the great French composer Hector Berlioz as well as other classical masterpieces. Our first project included the first complete recording of Benvenuto Cellini in December 2003 in Paris. In 2017 we recorded the epic Les Troyens, taken from two live concerts in Strasbourg, France. The recording garnered eight international awards, among them not only The Best Opera Recording of the Year but also The Best Recording of the Year from Gramophone - the European equivalent of The Grammys. We have since recorded Berlioz’s Requiem at St. Paul’s Cathedral in London in 2019, followed by his Damnation de Faust in 2019 again in Strasbourg. In October 2021we recorded Berlioz's Harold en Italie and Les Nuits d'Été. This June 2022 we will record Berlioz’s Romeo et Juliette, also in Strasbourg. Future major projects include the first-ever recording of all seven versions of Handel’s Messiah at Coventry Cathedral in Coventry, England in November 2022, Bizet’s Carmen in 2023 in Strasbourg and London, and, also in 2023, Berlioz’s Symphonie Fantastique in Copenhagen.

Mike Watkins

Mike Watkins is the President of the RMH Group. Mike has been with the firm for over 20 years. Mike quickly climbed to our science and technology team leader and chief operating officer before assuming the presidency role. Mike is a graduate of the Colorado School of Mines with a Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering.

RMH Group is a mechanical and electrical engineering firm which was founded in 1961 and has offices in Denver and Phoenix. With our current staff of 71 personnel, RMH is one of the largest locally-owned mechanical/electrical engineering firms in the region which enables us to take on larger and more complex projects while delivering the hands-on, personalized service of a smaller firm. Project goals are defined through our clients’ point of view with a focus on reliability, sustainability, maintainability, operability, efficiency, and comfort.
